Ziptrak® Outdoor Track-Guided blinds are custom-made to exact measurements for each installation and can be paired with a wide range of Sunscreen Mesh and PVC fabrics, these are supplied by third-party manufacturers rather than Ziptrak Pty Ltd.
Both Sunscreen Mesh and PVC outdoor blind fabrics are durable materials designed to withstand Australia’s harsh climate and extreme temperature changes. They are flexible materials that may show irregularities in their finish.
Several factors can influence the appearance of the fabric in a Ziptrak® Track-Guided blind, including:
- Size of the opening
- Product selection
- Installation
- Weather and wind conditions
- User operation method
Ziptrak® Track-Guided Blinds are designed for smooth, effortless use. The fabric rests within a track system, creating a sealed barrier while allowing the blind to glide up and down with ease. Because the outdoor fabric is flexible, it won’t look like a solid panel or glass.
Here are some other important points to keep in mind:
- Newly installed blinds may take a few days to “settle” since the fabric has been tightly rolled around the top tube before installation. With normal weather conditions, most fabric distortions will lessen or disappear.
- In some cases, users may notice a slight baggy effect in the middle of the fabric if a blind is left halfway down. This happens because of how the fabric rolls around the top tube and is common with many track-guided blinds, regardless of brand. The bagginess can usually be reduced by fully retracting the blind, then lowering it back to the halfway point. When fully lowered, the fabric should appear smooth with minimal sagging.
