Motorisation is a popular and convenient operation option for Ziptrak® Track-Guided and Cable-Guided blinds. It’s especially useful when blinds are hard to reach or for people who may find manual operation challenging. In commercial settings, motorisation makes it easy to control many blinds at once.
With motorised Track-Guided blinds, strong winds pressing against the fabric can prevent smooth movement within the side tracks. For this reason, it is recommended to supervise motorised blinds while they are moving to avoid motor damage.
PVC blinds can sometimes be motorised, providing the risks of using PVC fabrics with a motor are carefully considered. For advice on a specific installation, speak with your Retailer.
Keep in mind that motorisation of PVC blinds is not recommended for environments where temperatures are likely to drop below 5°C. At low temperatures, PVC hardens and becomes inflexible, which can prevent the blind from operating correctly.
